Blog Day 1: Why

I've been on this journey since late 2003, but it really started decades ago though I didn't know it.

Writing this blog to Pay It Forward, my goal is to provide wisdom and insights gleaned along the way from having experienced psychological, emotional, physical and socio-economic traumas,  abuse and violations in and since divorce -- and reading, studying, talking, writing, learning, maturing so that I could move past being victimized by someone personality disordered to being a survivor and one who's come into my own and is thriving to the extent life now allows.

I'll share pieces of the winding road of my life's past, what brought me to walking the path of a survivor, and what thriving looks like for me.  Will highlight what I've discovered I missed in life's learning and why, and how I came to see that I had to connect the dots of that past to understand how I came to today.  I'll explain what I think both adults and children who find themselves victims may be missing now and why, and what can/should be done about it.  And I'll refer to and suggest resources for those actively pursuing answers and help.

If you're willing to read with eyes, mind and heart wide open, and happen to see yourself in any parts of what I discuss, or see those you know and/or who have interacted with you or others and impacted lives, that's the connection I hope to make.

Knowing you're not nearly, nearly alone is the first step in validating experience and sanity.
